AIP Pie Recipes

Pies, especially berry-filled ones, remind me of lovely warm summer days.  And of course with autumn, the apple pies and pumpkin pies come a-calling with their comforting and rich fillings.  Now that winter is almost here, the cold weather has gotten me hankering for freshly-baked pies out of a hot oven.

I was looking for a nice pie crust and pie recipe for some frozen berries picked in the height of summer and stashed in my freezer.  Yes, it’s not even 2015 and I’m almost done with my hand-picked berry stash!  Thank goodness for frozen fruits, I love the fact that I can get frozen berries here in bulk and enjoy them even in winter.  Though there are other pies like shepherd’s pie,  I’ve listed mainly pies or tarts with crusts as I love a good crust!

It’s tough deciding which one to choose as there are so many delicious-looking recipes available!  Or maybe I’ll just work through the list methodically, just in time for summer to roll around again.  If you’re looking for an AIP-friendly pie recipe, here’s a list of pies to check out:
